Sorry for bumping this but I'm also wondering if a module can be hidden from the public view until a user logs into the site.

    There are a couple ways, but you'll need to use 'permissions' to do so.

    1. On a 'Public' page, any module that is marked as 'Private' will only be visible/displayed if the user (group) has a 'View' permission
    2. On a page that is NOT 'Public' the entire page is only visible/displayed if the user (group) has a 'View' permission

    You can automatically assign user groups on registration/creation if the user group is marked as 'default'.

    Exponent does NOT have a simple 'logged in' type of view permission (though there is some backend code available to do such a thing).
