scripts not working

Hi,

On a 2.5.0 p1 installation: the admin menu is, after one time, not responding anymore. This is spontaneous, no changes have been made for a time to the website. Tried to add a page, but the pages don't load and then all the dropdowns in the admin menu are not responding as well. Please advise! Dev tools doesn't give any clue

Full height mobile section

Hello,
I got a video running on my website (directly uploaded, not embedded), and it looks really cool on a computer screen.
It really sucks on mobile though, and that's because I can't get the section to be at full height.
Is there a piece of custom css that somebody has written for this? Or perhaps another solution.
I found a piece of css for oshine, but that unfortunately doesn't work with exponent.

Help is appreciated.

Missing Directories After Install

I've tried repeated installs and the same thing happens. There is no administrator directory. I selected the defaults during the configuration wizard. When I login the first time and select I want to configure my site, I get this message: The requested URL /hcc/administration/configure_site was not found on this server. When I look in the file system, yep, it's NOT there. What am I missing?

I've found that in exponent 2.5.0 p1, an inactive page is still accessible if you use the navigation module (Display: Children and Grandchildren). Would be nice if it could be inactive there as well, not just in the main menu.

CSS file not being loaded after upgrade to v2.5

As recommended I was doing some testing before updating a production site. I upgraded one of my test sites to 2.5 patch1 and noticed that /framework/modules/ecommerce/assets/css/cart.css is not being loaded now. I have verified that the file is still in the prescribed directory.

The site was previously running 2.4.3 patch1. What can be done to load that css file?

Is it possible to ban a user in Exponent? On an e-commerce site I had a user register but it turns out that it a fraudulent user. I would like to ban them so they don't try to place more orders.

Adding & using files for users

I've a version 2.4.2 p7 running. I've given another user access to 1 text module to create, edit and delete. He can add images to the file manager (I checked as super admin, they are there), but he can not see them in the file manager, let alone use them. It would seem logic to me that users, even with very limited access, can see and use their the images they upload. Is there a fix?

New users can't create an account (Regression bug)

On my e-commerce site, I upgraded to 2.4 patch 2 from 2.3.9 patch 1. Now new users can't create an account as part of the checkout process. I have tried going to Site Configuration -> User Registration -> I checked the box for "Allow users to create accounts for themselves" and "Use an email address instead of a username" but they still can't create an account. What else could be causing this to happen?

Looked up this file/line and it reads:

Does this mean I can only use SMTP now?

Media player can´t play Youtube video

Hi, I´m using Exp 2.4.1 patch 6. In this version media player module can´t play Youtube videos. the link is there but when I click play buton nothing hapens. Uploaded videos works fine. Any clue what is happening? Can I solve the problem Updating to version 2.4.2 ?

Exponent menu not working

This morning when I logged into our company's website, I noticed that the Exponent menu wasn't working. I also noticed that the drop down menus on our site are not working either. The site uses the Flydown menu view. This site is running version 2.4.2 patch3.

Nothing else with the theme changed so I not sure where I should be looking.

Sending Mail Always Fails/Crashes in v2.4.2 in certain scenarios (fixed in patch #2)

If you are running Exponent CMS v2.4.2 under PHP v7.0.0 or later AND on a Linux based server the mail system will always crash when sending mail.

The fix for this will be in patch #1 out soon, but you could edit /external/EmailValidator-2.1.1/EmailValidator.php and replace line # 97 which now looks like

$path = __DIR__.'/'.str_replace('_', '/', $class).'.php';

With

$file = str_replace('\\', DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR, $class);
$path = __DIR__.'/'.str_replace('_', '/', $file).'.php';

FURTHERMORE, if you are running Exponent CMS v2.4.2 under PHP v7.0.0 or later AND using the 'Use simplified php mail() function instead of SMTP?' setting on any Server OS, the mail system will always crash when sending mail.

The quick fix is to change to use an SMTP server with appropriate settings

Can't log into site

This morning I tried to log into one of my Exponent powered e-commerce sites. When I clicked the log in button, I was taken back to the home page, the Welcome back message was displayed but I was not logged in. I have ensured that I am using the correct user name and password. I know this site is using at least exponent version 2.4.1 patch 5. Any ideas of what I can do to get back into the site??

Can´t send email form by exponent site

I can´t send a form by email. I tryed all the stuff I know. I´m even copy a configuration from other site who is working but nothing. The tentatives as follows:
- Using default configuration - localhost,... - error: Expected response code 220 but got code "", with message ""
- Using my smtp information - can´t send mail to.... if i use ttl , time out if I use ssl
I´m still test an gmail account for last hope.

The difference between to sites is php (5.6.32 - works, 5.) and theme (simpletheme works, bootstatp 3 don´t)

2 of my clients have had their websites migrated to a new server which is running php 7.0, both got problems, so they've put them back to a lower version. Could it be possible that exponent still has problems with php 7.0? Only other thing that changed with the server migration was nginx,

Content Security Policy?

I'd like to put a Content Security Policy in place.

Here's the line of code I added to .htaccess: Header set Content-Security-Policy "default-src https:"

I have Photo Album module that I've configured with the Slideshow content action and the Default content display.

When I have the above Content Security Policy active, the slidshow doesn't appear. Once comment out the Content Security Policy from .htaccess, the slideshow appears. I think the reason the slideshow doesn't appear is because it uses an inline script. I know that I could add 'unsafe-inline' but that won't provide any XSS protection.

How can I have the inline script and still have XSS protection?

Deleted All Standalone Pages

I wanted to delete a whole bunch of old standalone pages that made there way over from an old upgrade/migration.

I didn't realize though, that the main page that typically loads at 'PATH_RELATIVE' was essentially delete as well. I have a database backup... where can I find that standalone page again.

I would also be able to rebuild the main page, but I seem to get forwarded to another of my pages now when I hit the root address. Why is that happening and how can I fix that?

Can't Minify and Combine linked js scripts?

On two of my sites, when I have "Minify and Combine linked js scripts?" enabled I get the following errors in Firebug.

NetworkError: 404 Not Found - "

I've tried going to Admin -> Super Admin Tools -> System Cache -> Clear all Caches but the error messages still appear. Both of the problematic sites are running 2.3.8 patch 3.

Recently getting errors on Exponent website using older version. Searching for fix or upgrade path.

Hi,

I have a website that has been running on Exponent since forever on version 0.96.5 (yeah, I know). Recently, the site started showing these errors instead of loading content modules:

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /hermes/bosnaweb02a/b2280/sl.skif-qcc/public_html/modules/navigationmodule/class.php on line 337

The website host support tells me it's a scripting issue probably related to incompatibilities with the latest PHP version they have installed.

I'd like to quickly fix the issue if possible, or if I need to upgrade I would need to know what would be the upgrade process to get from that version to the latest.

I installed a development environment with a clean database. I have a copy of an existing 'master' database that I'd like my development environment to now point to... any advice?

Changing themes crashed site

I want to experiment with bootstrap3 so I changed it in framework/conf/config.php like this define("DISPLAY_THEME_REAL",'bootstrap3theme');

Now my site is blank! I tried changing to simpletheme but that didn't work either, also coolwatertheme also gave a blank page. What the heck did I do???
