Navigation Module Issue

I've been having an issue with the navbar dropdown menu items in responsive mode. After clicking to open the first drop down item (which contains quite a few submenu items) it 'pushes' the other top level menu items to the right side of the child items of the first parent item. It basically creates a second column for the drop down and it wreaks havoc on the behavior of the navbar (practically unfunctional).

I found the issue in the generated HTML, and when I modify it manually, my issue is gone. If I remove the 'pull-left' CSS class from the
element I'm good to go... it works the way I want. Here's where I'm finding the issue and manually deleting using browser developer tools:

image

How do I go about modifying exponent to stop applying this class to the
tags in responsive navabar mode? I took a quick look at the navigation module, but wasn't sure where to go exactly to make this change.

I do realize I shouldnt modify the 'framework' version of the module, and will create my own module in my theme.

Please help!

I am trying to make it possible to select multiple items in a dropdown list on a form. I have added the multiple field to the control (in dropdowncontrol.php) in the form() and update() methods. I can them set it via a check box when adding the control to the form. the value is not yet stored however so when running the form the drop down list is still single select. I am trying to find where the controls is stored.

I have tried using a editor control to add a multiselect list to the form. The form itself works fine and the data is in the POST data. However when in the confirm_data or submit_data methods of the forms controller only the last selected value is available. in $this->params

As an 'experiment' all the development and code fixes for the patches to v2.3.0 and v2.3.1 (kinda the same thing) took place on the 'master' branch of our github repo. Initially this worked well due to the number of issues that had to be addressed and working with some of our testers who require the code come from the 'master' branch. However, it also introduced a couple major bugs...though they were quickly squashed. Anyway, though the test wasn't a failure, it did convince us to move back to the standard method of developing and placing code changes on the 'develop' branch and only moving code into the 'master' branch for a release (or hotfix).

.asp/MS-SQL is less prevalent on the internet since it requires the host web server run MS Windows. Whereas .php/MySQL runs on any PC including those running Linux (or a derivative) so it is therefore a broader based solution.

As you had stated, if the customer can afford the greater cost of providing/purchasing a fully loaded 'Windows' machine, there is little difference except that PHP code solutions are generally available at a reduced cost whereas .asp/MS-SQL solutions typically are at cost.

Statistics: Posted by dleffler
